Inbound marketing in my own words:
Based on the premise (more so a fact) that there are people out there who need your product/service and are actively searching for it, inbound marketing is facilitating and allowing people to easily find your service/product online. This may be through social media, blogs, and of course, search engine optimization.
Inbound marketing is essential for any business. There is a major shift occurring wherein we are seeing less and less emphasis on outbound marketing (the traditional methods of "in your face" advertising, direct mail, email blasts, etc), and more on inbound marketing. People are becoming better at blocking out ads and are becoming more savvy consumers. The internet has allowed for a more transparent marketplace, and I am an expert at managing, controlling (what amount you can), and utilizing this realm to drive brand awareness, educate and engage consumers, and of course, drive sales.
If you are already aware of inbound marketing, you definitely know the importance of content, but not just content - remarkable content. This is where my creativity comes in, allowing me to create unique and remarkable content where people are willing to pass it on to others (viral).
My work habits:
I am a determined and motivated self-starter. I am friendly and approachable, and when it comes to sales I am just as good a listener as I am a speaker. I understand and am guided by my golden rule; that it is crucial to know your customer and product to be able to forge the bond between them (the sale!).
I enjoy researching and getting to know my customers and their consumer behaviours. I can often be found on competitors' websites, analyzing their strategies to better enhance my own. I closely follow and explore trends and advances in inbound marketing, and I am motivated by the results I track and generate.
I am a superb writer, which is derived from my inner passion for creative writing (I hope to publish my first novel very soon). I am experienced with professional writing, yet I especially love composing and structuring communication messages, blogs, and advertising campaigns (I should say inbound marketing campaigns - but am good at both).
I am artistic by nature, which allows me to effectively piece together ads and creatives as visualized. I have found that this skill is particularly helpful in presenting customers quick and informative visuals, and it is also exceptionally handy for creating intriguing business presentations.
There's more to tell, but that will have to wait until the interview.
